  • Manchester United to wait until next summer for Lorenzo Pellegrini
  • Manchester United have reportedly shelved plans to move for Lorenzo Pellegrini in January after learning of a release clause in the Roma midfielder's contract that can be triggered next summer.

The 22-year-old, already capped nine times by Italy, is said to have been closely monitored by the Red Devils over the past few months.
Jose Mourinho was hoping to bring in the former Sassuolo ace for the second half of the campaign but, according to The Mirror, those plans have been pushed back five months.
That is because Pellegrini will supposedly be available for a bargain price of £26.3m at the end of the campaign due to a clause in his deal.
However, the report indicates that Roma are working hard on thrashing out new terms with the home-grown player before he becomes available for a fraction of his valuation.
