  • West Ham send important transfer response to Chelsea and Tottenham
West Ham United will not sell centre-back Issa Diop this month, according to a report on the Daily Star.
The Frenchman has been the subject of interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Tottenham in recent weeks.
The Blues were reported to be lining up a £40m bid for the defender, but as stated in the report, the Hammers have no intention of listening to any offers for him.
The 23-year-old is a key defensive figure for the London club and David Moyes doesn’t plan on letting the towering centre-half leave this month.
The news will certainly please the West Ham fan base as Diop is widely considered as one of the club’s best talents with a big future.
His impressive defensive record in the top flight proves that he is hugely valuable to the Hammers.
The interest in him from the top league sides is also proof of his massive development and improvement over the last year and we hope that he continues to shine in the claret of West Ham for the foreseeable future, as his current deal runs through until 2023.
